on Political Appointment in Nigeria

                                                         President Mohammed Buhari

Communique issued at the 2nd Oodua Progressive Union Europe Summit held at FRANKERMAHEERD, AMSTREDAM, HOLLAND ON 29TH OF AUGUST 2015

1. OPU Europe persuades President Mohammed Buhari to balance the political appointment in the interest of peace and the unity of Nigeria.

2. OPU appeal to the Yoruba people irrespective of their religion to pray for the selection of the Ooni of ife that whoever eventually emerge as the Ife should be someone that was crowned from heaven in the interest of progress and peace of Yoruba land and Nigeria.

3. OPU Europe appeal to Yoruba all over the world to encourage their families to put on Yoruba attires most weekends and encourage their family to speak and eat Yoruba food especially in Diaspora.

4. Implementation of report of the National Conference is the only way to move Nigeria as a country forward based on the structural imbalances that affect progress which brings  suspicious and lack of trust within various ethnic groups in Nigeria so that every state can develop at their own through true federalism

5. OPU call on the government to expedite actions and facilitate more than two hundred girls that were kidnapped by the dreaded boko haram group since five hundred days ago

6. OPU advise the southwest governors to establish council of Obas of Yoruba land that will be rotated in every state that is the only way Yoruba can achieve the lost unity within Yoruba people.

7. OPU advised the Federal Govt to lay more emphasis on the security of life and properties of the citizens and foreign national living in Nigeria because there are recent report that over twenty states is not safe to travel to by the United States, Britain and some European union countries such report is not good for the image of the tourism sector of the country especially when many countries are looking beyond mineral resources to tourism as source of income.
