Notorious land grabber and one of the 15 expelled Oodua People's Congress members that wrote a letter seeking the assistance of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to finance their ploy to eliminate the National Coordinator of OPC, Otunba Gani Adams, Monsuru Akande is currently cooling off at Ilaro Prisons.
In what looks like nemesis at play, Monsuru whose anti-congress activities led to his expulsion from OPC was said to have led a team of over 20 violent prone and armed men to take forcefully take over a large parcel of land from its original owners at Oke-Ore, Atan,Idiroko,Ogun State leading to the killing of a 17yr old barber on
Friday 21st of August 2015.
Monsuru Akande in the past was said to have been linked with series of killings in Lagos, Ogun State and it's environ all in the name of land grabbing. He is being detained along side with his Boss, Alhaji Owo-Eye. The Chairman of Owo-Eye and Sons Agent Nig. Ltd.
Monsuru Akande and Alhaji Mutair Owo-Eye have been remanded at ILARO PRISON by the Ogun State Magistrate court Otta, Ogun State, when their case came up at the court this morning.
They will remain in prison custody till a later date in September this year.
